ANNIE COHEN-SOLAL a rencontré le fameux marchand de Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschnberg, Andy Warhol ou Roy Lichenstein entre autres alors qu’elle était conseiller culturel à l’ambassade de France aux Etats-Unis. Partant d’une amitié partagée qui dura dix ans, Annie Cohen-Solal a entrepris une enquête d’une ampleur rarement atteinte pour rédiger la première biographie d’un des personnages centraux de l’histoire de l’art du XXème siècle.

Prolongeant la présentation de ce livre, RAYMONDE MOULIN, célèbre sociologue de l’art, est invitée à mettre en perspective le rôle joué par Léo Castelli dans l’histoire du marché de l’art. Un débat, réunissant des personnalités comme Bernard Blistène, Jack Liesveld ou Ghislain Mollet-Viéville, ponctue la rencontre pour questionner le modèle de la galerie d’art aux XX° et XXI° siècles.
